Mike joined Shane Moore once again for the PBS Nature series film Fortress of the Bears.  For four months they lived on the converted fishing boat Arctos and weathered the coldest and wettest Southeast Alaska summer in 35 years.  Joined by sound recordist Dave Ruddick and assisted by wilderness manager John Neary, they explored in and around Admiralty island, home to the highest concentration of brown bears in the world.
